CROP hunger walk: CROP (Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty) CROP hunger walk: Neighbors walking together to take a stand against hunger in our world. Together we raise awareness and funds for international relief and development, as well as local hunger-fighting. This year's hunger Walk event was held Sunday, April 25 at 1:30 pm at the YEAH Shelter (1744 University Ave, Berkeley).
Held in nearly 2,000 communities in the US, the CROP Walk raises awareness about people around the world who must walk to find food, water, firewood, freedom and other necessities of life and raise funds to help stop hunger wherever it exists. We had East bay Crop hunger walk on Sunday, April 20 at 2:00 PM at Lake Merritt UMC.
We had more people participated this year. The whole congregation also supported the walk with generous donation. Crop hunger walk 2008. Click the pictures to see a larger view
